How CCIV Works

Three Ways to Get Involved:

Digital Explorer (Remote)

Work on projects from anywhere in the world!
Contribute 5-10 hours per week based on your availability
Join our 16 specialized impact groups
Perfect for busy professionals wanting to make a difference

Community Adventurer (Hybrid)

Mix of remote work and short-term on-site visits
Ideal for those who want deeper Caribbean connection
Flexible scheduling around your life

Impact Trailblazer (Leadership/On-site)

Lead initiatives and mentor other volunteers
Extended stays at Vicky’s Keys Volunteer Center
Full immersion in sustainable island living

Respect & Communication

Treat everyone with kindness and respect – we’re a diverse, global community
Keep communications professional but friendly (think: colleague, not corporate)
Share knowledge freely and ask questions without hesitation
Celebrate different perspectives and cultural backgrounds

Commitment & Reliability

Honor your time commitments – others are counting on you
Communicate early if you need to adjust your availability
Complete tasks within agreed timeframes
Ask for help before missing deadlines

Quality & Impact

Deliver your best work, even if it’s not perfect
Focus on solutions that create lasting change
Share resources and learnings with the community
Measure success by positive impact, not just completion

Digital Etiquette

Keep video calls professional (but relaxed!)
Respond to messages within 48 hours when possible
Use clear, concise communication
Respect time zones when scheduling

Getting Started

Step 1: Complete your CCIV profile and skills assessment
Step 2: Join your chosen impact group(s)
Step 3: Attend virtual orientation session
Step 4: Connect with your group leader and first project
Step 5: Start making impact!
